In transit from Leipzig to Milan

Hello all!How is everyone? I hope that you're all well and for those of our fans affected by the terrible weather at present - stay safe.So this is my last term as a King's Singer. What a weird feeling it is to say that out loud! It is so very odd to think that I only have a few months left to stand on stage with my awesome colleagues, singing in some of the most glorious places on earth and to THE BEST audiences that any artist could ever ask for. It's amazing and I LOVE IT! However, the summer holiday was such a brilliant 6 weeks spending so much fun time with Gemma and Harry, that it's such a wrench to be away from them, even for a short trip like this one. Harry is growing rapidly and is 100% aware of when I come and go, questioning when I will be back and not being best pleased when he sees my suitcases in the hallway ready to leave for the airport. I cannot wait to be at home with them more next year and to feel settled in one place, trying to be the best dad and husband that I can be.Today is a travel day with two flights - the first, from Leipzig to Frankfurt, and now (in about half an hour), from Frankfurt to Milan. We'll then drive to the beautiful city of Brescia where we'll sing in the Teatro Sociale. This is such a great venue - I've sung here a number of times and it's always been such a fun experience! The Italian crowd has some much energy, it's impossible for it not to make you smile.Right, I better dash to the gate! I do hope to catch as many of you as possible in the next few months, to say goodbye and thanks to you in person.Take care all and toodle-oo for now....
