The Library, Vol. 1 out now on Signum Classics!

We’re delighted to announce the first release in our new EP recording series entitled ‘The Library’!

Celebrating the wonderful diversity of music today, ‘The Library, Vol. 1’ showcases our admiration for great song-writing and arrangements, ensuring it gets the place of prominence that it truly deserves. ‘Close-harmony’ is a phrase we have always used to describe lighter repertoire, and this series of EP releases celebrates our historical library in addition to new commissions of recent releases.

Setting the tone for the rest of the series, ‘The Library, Vol. 1’ contains seven tracks that encompass a wide variety of styles, in which four are brand new arrangements that have never been recorded. The other three are some of our classics that have defined who The King’s Singers are and are loved by audiences around the world.

Featuring Yesterday by The Beatles (arr. Chilcott) amongst other distinguished songs, The Library is our opportunity to have regular releases that coincide with touring and other recording projects, as well as an output to revisit old favourites.
