Szczecin, Poland

We're back on the road after our Easter break, and have started our summer season in Poland. Yesterday afternoon we performed with the excellent Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Ewa Strusinska. The programme featured songs from the movies, and included some of my favourite Cole Porter tunes, Beatles numbers, and some of the great songs by Simon and Garfunkel. The last group included some of the tracks from our album "Circle of Life", including the hit song of the same title from "The Lion King". I have to admit that I rather enjoy singing these big orchestral numbers, even if at times you can't really hear what you're doing with the amazing sound from the orchestra right behind you.Today we we fly to Budapest for a concert tomorrow in the Bela Bartok National Concert Hall. We're back to more usual KS repertoire by Morley, Weelkes, Reger and Ligeti. Then on Wednesday it's the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. It's not a bad life!
