Seoul, South Korea

First time to South Korea! Always exciting to visit a new country, particularly since it happens so rarely as time goes on (without meaning to get too philosophical!). That said, this year has been a good one for me on this front with Singapore, Australia and New Zealand added to my list.So far my experience here in rainy, grey Seoul has been limited to the usual Asian touring routine of landing, going through long immigration, getting escorted by private transport straight to hotel, going straight to bed and then the following morning surveying the city from my hotel bedroom high up a skyscraper after having devoured a generous and dumpling-heavy breakfast buffet. But I'm looking forward to seeing the city a bit more later today, ahead of this evening's concert at the Lotte World Mall, which yesterday's cabin crew seemed to know all about.I've been memorising a Korean pop song for tonight's show called 'Magic Castle', which features on TKS' album, 'Spirit Voices', as well as on a YouTube video of a live performance the group gave in South Korea several years ago, with Paul singing the solo and the crowd going almost comically nuts - a true pop performance! It is one of the few songs that the group performs exclusively on mic with backing track, so it has been an interesting experience for me learning the song in this way, not to mention getting my head around the Korean language, which ain't easy! Fingers crossed it goes well tonight! In the meantime, I've got lots of admin to be cracking on with. The list never gets any shorter, I'm convinced!
