Perth, Australia

It’s amazing to be in Australia for the first time! The sun is shining so brightly it’s like a dream, especially in February of all months! Very nice to have started our tour here with a couple of rest days to relax, take in the sun and get lots of work done too! Avocado and chicken wraps seem to be a thing here (or at least in the vicinity of our hotel) so that suits me very nicely as I just love avocado.

We had a good rehearsal last night with the St George’s Cathedral Consort for tonight’s concert in the Perth Concert Hall. They were very well prepared for our joint repertoire (incl. Whitacre, Muhly, Roderick Williams and Chilcott) by their director, who is clearly an excellent musician, so it’s all positivity for tonight’s show!

Now to get back to some spreadsheets in the sun…
