Jet lag in Adelaide, Australia

We've finally arrived in Adelaide after two nights of travel. Actually, for me it passed pretty quickly - a brief stop and change of planes in HKG and before I knew it, I felt like I had eaten my way half way around the world! Today's task is to stay awake and to catch up on some work, as the countdown to my departure continues. It's good to be back in Oz after two and a half years. The last time we were here I was still recovering from my bout of chronic laryngitis, having been unable to sing for a month, and I was feeling 'fragile' to say the least. I couldn't feel more different now, fit (ish!) and healthy and shortly to go out for a run in the fresh air! I have to say how much I've enjoyed the many performances of the Great American Songbook, and that I shall dearly miss the thrill of singing such beautifully crafted and arranged music, to wonderful audiences around the world. It's a privilege to be wrapping up my time in the KS, on my last 'big' tour, performing this repertoire to our Antipodean friends. I hope I may get the opportunity to return 'down under' in my 'next' life.
