Asia Tour Dates Announced

Asia Tour Dates Announced

On Monday 5 May we will be departing for a three week tour of Asia, with concerts taking place in Taiwan, South Korea, China and Hong Kong. We will largely be performing repertoire from the Great American Songbook, as well as a sharing a selection of folksongs which we have recently recorded.

The final two concerts of the tour will take place with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, where we will perform Jonh Rutter's wonderful piece Wind in the Willows.Kenneth Grahame’s enchanting book was first published in 1908 and has remained one of the best-loved of children’s classics, enjoyed equally by generations of adult readers too. This musical adaptation was originally written as an ‘entertainment’ for the King’s Singers and the City of London Sinfonia to perform at a family concert. Each member of the group takes on the role of one of the characters: Paul Phoenix as Mr. Toad, Christopher Gabbitas as the gruff Magistrate, David Hurley as Mole and Timothy Wayne-Wright as the Jailer's Daughter, Christopher Bruerton as Rat and Jonathan Howard as Badger.
