Mühlhausen, Germany

Today has been a long day! Starting in Konstanz this morning, we got a 7am taxi to Friedrichshafen airport (via a beautiful ferry across Lake Constance), flew to Frankfurt with good old Lufthansa, hired a couple of cars and then drove ourselves two and a half hours to Mühlhausen (via a motorway lunch-stop), just in time for our rehearsal for this evening's concert, themed on Bach chorals and various motets. It should be an exciting concert -- the acoustic of this church is wonderful, and it's not often we get to sing Bach. It's a pretty, old town here, and we're being looked after very kindly which is just what we need on a day like today! After the concert, we then drive on a further hour or so to Kassel, where we'll be residing for the next couple of days. It will be great finally to sleep in tomorrow, and have a day off -- the first we've had since we were in Salt Lake City in the USA last week!
