Montreal, QC

Good afternoon everybody! How are we all?? Good I hope. Well it's only 7 days until Christmas Day so I hope you're all in fine festive spirits, eagerly anticipating the big day...We've just arrived in Montreal, after a quick hop from Toronto this morning. Since we arrived in Canada last Friday, I've been totally amazed - it's really not that cold!! For example, it was so strange driving through Toronto on our way to the hotel on Sunday, and to not see the city covered in snow. It's mostly been lovely and bright - a bit chilly for sure, but certainly not properly cold. So, we sing today at a beatiful concert hall called Salle Bourgie. I was thinking to myself that I didn't recognise the name of the venue, nor the pictures online and then I heard on the grapevine that The KS haven't been to Montreal since 1989!! What????? I was amazed. So it's going to be extra special singing in here tonight, knowing that it's been such a long time since these local fans have heard the group in their home city.In other news, my mum flew into the US yesterday and will attend both the Princeton and Washington DC concerts with family that live in America. Gemma and Harry fly into DC in a few days and I'm so excited about seeing them all!! It's pretty surreal to think that when we fly back home to London, my KS career will have come to an end and it will be the start of a new and exciting chapter for all of us.Well, this is my last blog post, I'm afraid to say. It's been a true joy writing these every week and I hope you've enjoyed reading them. Please stay in touch via facebook - I'll try and keep you all up to speed about my life post-KS as we move into 2019. This has been 10 years of sheer magic and I feel so privileged to have been part of such an incredible institution as this, but what we do would be completley fruitless without KS fans and supporters all over the world. Walking out onto stage to an excited and appreciative audience makes us feel alive as musicians, so I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of you for your kind support of The King's Singers. We all thoroughly appreciate it and I'm sure I'll see many of you at concerts in the future, as a fellow audience member, to say a thank you in person! So for now, I'll bid you all farewell by wishing you a very merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2019.Take care everybody and toodle-oo for now...xxx
