London, UK

Still buzzing from the weekend at Carnegie Hall! Ever since joining the group in 2014 I'd been looking forward to performing there as a highlight on the group's concert schedule, so it was really special, finally (c. 400 concerts later!) to enter the building as an artist and be on that main stage, performing to a full house! I was really happy that we sang some of my favourite pieces in the KS library, including Danny Boy, It's a new world and M.L.K., and that some close friends from my childhood could make the concert. We've got six days back home now, before we head off to Germany for a week's touring there. Looking forward to a performance coaching session I've got tomorrow with Carrie Grant, who worked with the group very successfully at the height of the Great American Songbook project a few years ago. I'm going to be trying out some different pop styles for that genre of song and pushing myself out of my comfort zone as I currently know it - so if you notice my performance style drastically changing in the coming weeks/months (hopefully for the better!), now you know why!
