London, UK

After a great week of concerts in Germany and Austria, we're home now for 24 hours before flying to Venice tomorrow afternoon. Although it's slightly alarming when check-in for the next flight opens before you leave the airport from the previous one, it's lovely to be at home and I've certainly been making the most of it.Lunch was a pesto pasta, where the pièce de résistance was home-grown courgettes and spinach picked freshly from the garden! Later this week we have concerts in Italy and Bratislava, before heading to France on Monday where we give our final performances of term before our UK Summer School. Busy times but the end of term is now in sight!I'm starting to feel a sense of perspective, as my first year as a King's Singer draws to a close. Three recordings made (and an anniversary book), close to 100 concerts, well over 40 masterclasses given and tens of thousands of notes sung on stage in my blue suit - I can suddenly understand how a decade or two in the KS could fly by!
