London, UK

Today is the second of three recording days for our 50th anniversary album this week. We had a great first day yesterday, in which we made some really exciting KS sounds which we don’t always have time to work on when we’re busy on tour — so it bodes well for today’s session and tomorrow's. I have a really good feeling about this album!

The sessions are quite long, typically involving six hours of singing and intensive concentration — so I’m sleeping particularly well at the moment! I’m happy that the recording venue is in North London, in Highgate, which makes my commute very straightforward, and the walk from the tube station to the church is my favourite kind: full of autumnal colours and lots of beautiful houses, in a quaint and quiet setting.

Looking forward to a couple more UK shows at the weekend — including my first time to York Minster!
