Having returned from a wonderful weekend in Italy yesterday afternoon, and gone to bed early last night, I’m now feeling fresh and ready for a long drive to West England with Tim this morning, and performing in Pat’s home town of Ludlow — a place which is apparently rather beautiful. It’s always nice visiting places of sentimental value to fellow King’s Singers since we’re close enough to be a family; so it almost feels like we’re off to visit some distant cousins today!
The main difficulty with these UK day-trips is know where and when to eat. Normally involves a service station or two, and giving in to a quick McDonald’s or Burger King is not ideal — but hard to resist, as Tim can vouch for…
