London - Philadelphia

I’m writing this mid-air, on my flight from London to Philadelphia, where we start our final tour of 2018. It’s quite the tour to end with, and reflects the wonderful craziness of the year as a whole. We have 16 concerts (and one extra mini-performance) in 19 days, all over the USA and Canada. We’ll finish in Washington DC, at the National Cathedral, but before then we’ll have covered a good amount of ground! It’ll be lovely to catch up with American friends as we go; several of them have actually already been to see us recently, either elsewhere in the world, or on one of our other 3 US trips during the GOLD season! But it’ll be great to catch up.

We’ve just had a few days clear, during which I caught up with some friends cooked with Ellie, and went wedding suit shopping [note: being in The King’s Singers really warps your perception of what constitutes a nice suit.. the group’s sartorial style has given me rather more expensive taste than I’d normally have!]. It was sad to say goodbye to Ellie this morning, but she’ll be coming out to Washington DC at the end of this trip to watch our concert, before we head off together somewhere nice for a hot Christmas and New Year...

I hope you’re keeping warm wherever you are. If you’re reading this from the USA, have a look at our concert dates, and get in touch to let us know if we’ll be seeing you along the way!
