Lancaster, PA

Good morning, all! Everyone well? I hope you’re all going to join me in wearing your Christmas jumpers in the lead up to 25th?!?? I’ve brought my favourite Rudolph one on tour with me which plays a little seasonal tune, as I’m sure you can imagine!

So, after a flight from London to Philadelphia, I’ve woken up in Lancaster this morning and the jet lag doesn’t seem to be too bad thus far. I pushed myself to stay awake until midnight local time (0500 UK time) and so I was absolutely shattered by the time I turned the light off, resulting in a decent 6 hours or so. This is MORE than enough for any parent, surely? :)

It was very curious yesterday leaving our flat in London to embark on my last tour in The KS. I put Harry down for his afternoon nap and really didn’t want to let him go. It was also very tough to say goodbye to Gemma in the morning as she left for work, but we both know this will be the last time that we’re apart as a family, which is really heartening. Of course, I’m sure there will be the odd little trip for me to do some workshops and masterclasses, but these short stints will seem like nothing compared to the time away from home over the last ten years. I’ve been so lucky to be a part of this AMAZING ensemble for so many years and I wouldn’t change a thing, but it now feels like the right time to lead a more settled life – to be at home more and to be the best husband and daddy that I can be. I’ll give it my best shot, that’s for sure!

Right, I better carry on polishing some of our gorgeous Christmas rep ahead of this touring patch. It’s gonna be EPIC!

Take care all and toodle-oo for now…
