Fort Wayne, IN

SUN. Sun is just the best thing. And since our arrival in the US three days ago, we've enjoyed a lot of it. We're lucky to come to Indiana, Minnesota and Michigan pretty often during our travels around North America, but as our tours are invariably in winter months, I've become used to associating these Midwest States with temperatures of, at best, 0°F (that's quite a lot of -°Cs, for those of you who prefer to operate in Celsius). As we're quite far north here, the sun shines late into the evening and means that my skin already looks healthier, my sleep better, and my fitness drive is in full swing. In fact, it's only 9:05am and I've somehow (and this is deeply unlike me) already managed to go for a run. (Don't worry - I wore sunscreen.) Today we drive down to Columbus, Indiana, before flying up to Interlochen - right at the top of Michigan - for a concert there on Monday night. After that, four of the guys fly home for a few days, while Jules and I head to New York - as you know, perhaps my favourite city in the world. We then all recongregate in Salt Lake City next Tuesday - along with Patrick! - for concerts with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, an experience which is always so special to us. It's really starting to sink in now that David's last concert is in less than a month. I'll try to fight back the tears before then....Anyway, I must pack (and shave, in fact). Our transfer leaves in an hour and I just can't deal with being late. Time to down my breakfast coffee!
