East Sussex, UK

Usually we have seven clear days before and after inter-continental tours, but this week falls slightly short of that so I’m trying to make the best use of time. We have a new au pair arriving tomorrow (actually a distant relation from the USA) and that’ll really take the pressure off Stephanie as I head back out on tour this coming Monday.Three US tours in one calendar year is one more than we’d normally have, and it gives us the chance to cover a lot of the country during this GOLD year. We’ve already caught up with a lot of the longest-standing KS friends throughout January, both in the UK and US, and that bodes well for the rest of the year – it’s always fantastic to see regular fans.Jet-lag has taken its toll this past week, and I’m still not re-adjusted despite the best efforts of my children to ensure I’m awake when I’m supposed to be! The older I get, the harder it is to regulate between time-zones, but even if I’m exhausted it’s still great to be home and muck in with real life – be it cheering on the side-lines at a hockey match, getting the girls ready for church on Sunday, or enjoying a proper home-cooked meal.
