Dresden, Germany

How lovely to be back in Dresden! The Frauenkirche is one of the group's favourite German venues, with its generous acoustics and beautiful setting, and we often sing Renaissance-heavy programmes here; tonight however, we'll be singing an unusual programme, focussing on the years immediately following on from World War One. Included are some real gems which I haven't performed with TKS before, such as Psalm 121 (Walford Davies), Psalm 121 (Howells) and Du armes Girl vom Chor (A. Rebner, A. Robinson). An old chum of mine from university, who sings at Weimar Opera, will be in the audience tonight too, so all the more reason to enjoy tonight's concert. Can't wait!
