Brooklyn

Good to be in Brooklyn. It’s a happening place and I know each of us enjoy any time we get in the city that never sleeps. We’ve got a radio interview this afternoon, having flown in yesterday, and I’m also looking forward to having a cuppa beforehand with an old mate of mine from Christ Church, Oxford days. He’s an organist at St Thomas’ Fifth Avenue now and doing very well. To complete my social calendar, I’m having dinner with one of my best friends and her husband. Her and I go way back to the University of Canterbury where we both trained to be opera singers. It’s always nice to catch up with friends on tour, when the time allows, to put your own life in perspective and refresh memories of shared experiences and, importantly, pick up where you left off!Off to Middlebury, VT tomorrow. Such a beautiful state and I can only imagine how lovely the autumnal colours will be.See you soon!
