Brooklyn, New York

It's always exciting to be in New York! I never tire of this wonderful city - possibly because I'm never here for more than about two or three days at any time, so I always leaving wanting more!Pat and I caught the same flight together from London yesterday morning, so arrived at our hotel, here in Brooklyn, in the afternoon. The weather was PERFECT so we decided to help our jet-lag and seek out a decent coffee, wander around the Dumbo area (which incidentally I had no idea stood for "Down under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass"!) and take in some beautiful scenes of the cityscape, and then walk over the Manhattan Bridge as the sun was setting... Just stunning! Of course, at the same time, we were hearing reports of the terror attack which had taken place minutes before over on the other side of Manhattan, as well as a lot of helicopter action... Sad and scary times, on Halloween of all days.I then met up with a great Swiss friend of mine for dinner in Chinatown for a scrumptiously spicy meal, and was in bed nice and early, enabling me to sleep really well and set myself up for the fairly busy tour ahead. We've had a great morning meeting with our management from IMG over a breakfast, and now we're gearing up towards our recording session over at WQXR later this afternoon. Time for a quick workout and warm-up I think!
