Today is officially the first day of winter. We've all been talking about it; the air is cold and damp, and the smell of wood fires drifts slowly around this delightful Germany village, just south of Stuttgart. In some ways it's comforting to feel the change in the seasons, but in most ways I just miss the summer and the long, warm days.Winter touring brings its own challenges, chief amongst which (for the singer, at least) is the common cold.
