Het Concertgebouw. What. A. Venue. It’s wonderful being back in Amsterdam so soon again. Our flying visit back in March was lovely but this time we’ve been able to have more time to explore the city in amongst ticking off as much admin before we break for the summer. I managed to meet up with some Kiwi mates from Burnside High School and enjoyed catching up on the past ten years!

The audience is sure to be a good one this evening – it always is – and I’m looking forward with positive trepidation (I hope that phrase exists…it does now) to walking down those stairs!

This has been a really fun tour, playing with the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, under the direction of Frank Strobel. Each night we’ve been in the wings thoroughly enjoying their rendition of Gershwin’s Girl Crazy Overture and Porgy and Bess. A symphonic picture for orchestra, which open each half, respectively.

Really looking forward to finishing the tour in Gstaad. What a beautiful place!

Bye for now!
