A quarry with view

Earlier this week Liz and I had a mini-break up in the Lakes with another couple. It was nice to get away from Oxford and take in the sights of Carnforth, Ambleside and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Snuck in a cheeky 8 mile walk up and around Wansfell Pike which produced spectacular panoramic views over Lake Windermere, Ambleside, Coniston Fells, round to the Fairfield Horseshoe and Red Screes. Stopped in Troutbeck for a refreshment before summiting and then, with creaky knees, descended back to the car, back to our accommodation, and into the jacuzzi for a de-creaky-knees session whilst watching the sun set.Had a good rehearsal on Wednesday in London to cover repertoire for the upcoming German tour and looking further ahead to recording sessions. All go here at the moment and I want to send particularly happy thoughts to Tim and Gemma for the impending birth of their first-born son. Kia kaha guys and much arohanui. (You can google translate if you need to but hopefully you get the gist!)Bye for now!
