London

Well today was a very exciting day. There’s not much I can really say in detail at this stage, but we had the final round of auditions for the second countertenor position which Tim will be vacating at the end of 2018. We were down to two candidates and had a fascinating and positive day hearing them. Keep an eye out on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter in case we announce anything soon! The past few days have been rather lovely for me as well. On Saturday we had a concert in Ludlow - my hometown - in St Laurence’s Church, where I made my first choral squeaks as a five-year-old standing next to my mum. It was so lovely to perform there again (we did a concert there in 2016 too). It was particularly lovely to spend a couple of days with my parents, and to have a night at home. It’s very rare I get chance to go home and see them, as it takes a good few hours to drive to Ludlow and back, and we’re so busy this year, so it was a real treat to have chance this weekend.I’ve also been a bit ill for a few days, with a cold and a sore throat. It happens mercifully very rarely, but it’s no fun when it happens! I’ve been fighting it off with medicines galore, and have managed to do the concerts without too much trouble. But I just want to be healthy again to enjoy the incredible weather we’re having in the UK at the moment.Tomorrow we’re off to France for a few days, but will be back for the weekend. Let’s hope this weather holds..!
