Two former King’s Singers – founding member and choral conductor Brian Kay, bass, and choral director Nigel Perrin, countertenor – recently contributed to Chris Bruerton’s piece on singing in celebration of World Voice Day coming up on Sunday 16 April. They reflected on musicianship and what goes in to becoming a good performer, and looked back at where the original group began as choral scholars.
