Watertown, SD

What a topsy turvy few days. After a crazy overnight drive from Madison (WI) to Minneapolis at the weekend through crazy amounts of unseasonal snow, and after a lovely afternoon concert in Orchestra Hall there, we’ve now driven a few hours over to Watertown, SD, where we’re giving a concert tonight. It’s the third show out of 4 in a row, all of which in different states!

Lots of this travel has been dictated by a huge snow storm which has hit just the little bit of America in which we find ourselves. There’s almost a foot of snow in some places we’ve been, and it’s certainly not what we packed for when coming to the USA in April...

Tomorrow we are heading over to Grand Island, NE, making it 2 new states for me in 2 days — I’ve never before been to South Dakota or Nebraska before — and it’s always nice to expand one’s geographical horizons!

It’s been ‘snap-back-to-reality’ this term, after a wonderfully relaxing trip to Fiji and New Zealand with Ellie in the Easter break, but it’s great to be back on the road and singing for lots of lovely people around the world again.
