Rome, Italy

It has been a lovely day! Had a nice sleep-in after the previous few days’ rather difficult and tiring travel arrangements (what with a number of cancelled flights), woke up to a clear blue sky and radiant sun shining down and went for lunch with Johnny at a highly recommended Italian restaurant near Campo di Fiori (where I spent some happy months hanging out as a teenager between high school and university), and had the best spaghetti carbonara of my life!!

That set me up for the rest of the day and it was all plain sailing from there! An extremely enthusiastic (and young!) audience at the Parco della Musica concert venue this evening, and now back in my room, awaiting another decent night’s sleep.

First high-speed Italian train of the trip tomorrow on the way to Vincenza, which should allow for a smooth journey. Looking forward to my morning espresso macchiato already! Buona notte!
