Riga

What a fabulous 48 hours we've had here in the beautiful capital city of Latvia! Last night's performance in The Great Guild theatre went really well and the audience were very generous in their appreciation. Not the longest signing queue afterwards but certainly longer than the one in Figueres (Spain) a few years back. That was hilarious! Our concert finished and the entire audience disappeared afterwards. We soon learned that an important Spanish Cup Final was being played!I've eaten extremely well here in Riga. For anyone interested in food and Riga, check out Kolonāde and Restorāns 3. Little did I know that the latter is a renowned gourmet food lover's heaven! It's next to the hotel we stayed at and I only popped in for some soup before the show, not realising how unbelievable it'd be. They do a 2 1/2 hour tasting menu which I passed on but their take on a bouillabaisse is highly recommended, with its cheeky fish slider on the side. Don't be alarmed, the bun looks burnt but in fact it's made with squid ink so that was a relief!Right, off to the airport. Spain, here we come!Bye for now!
