Riehen, Switzerland

Trains are a really wonderful mode of transport in my opinion. There's something lovely about not having to go through the whole check-in process at the airport and not to have any weight restrictions on your luggage! We're now on a train from Milan to Basel, Switzerland after having popped on a train this morning from Genova to Milan. The concert last night at the Teatro Carlo Felice was really fun! We sang a mixed programmed, which included everything from madrigals, taken from our latest Il Trionfo di Dori disc, to repertoire from The Great American Songbook! It's our last concert of this tour tonight in Riehen and we have the huge pleasure of singing some beautiful madrigals by Heinrich Schütz. My favourite has to be Ride la Primavera (Spring is smiling) and it's the perfect fit for our new Spring-themed programme which we premiere tonight. The title of this programme is taken from a charming piece, of the same name, by E.J. Moeran which starts the second half of the concert. We're all looking forward to tonight and hopefully it's a programme which appears in concerts all around the world around this time of year!Hope to see lots of you at a concert soon. Toodle-oo.....
