If you were to ask what the most famous folk song in the world is, the answer could be Ireland’s Danny Boy. However that song, which features in this collection, is only one of countless wonderful songs to have come from the Emerald Isles. Here we have put together a few of our favourites, including She Moved Thro’ the Fair, Star of the County Down, Phil the Fluter’s Ball and Bob Chilcott’s beautiful version of The Wexford Carol.
