North Newton, KS

It has been a somewhat unbelievable few days, as Pat noted in his blog yesterday; Vancouver, LA, Dallas and Wichita, all in just over 36 hours!

I was honoured to attend The GRAMMYs with my colleagues and predecessors. I am immensely proud of them for being nominated for an award for their album ‘Gold’. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity (well, hopefully not, actually!), and for a boy from the middle of England like me, it was unlike anything I have experienced before; the glitz, the music, and the sheer scale of the ceremonies and after-show party!

We came back down to earth with a bump yesterday (or rather today); our journey here was delayed by an aeronautical mechanical failure which caused a two hour delay, and a very late, 3 am, bedtime.

We are now in North Newton, KS for our seventh engagement of this trip. This morning we had the enormous pleasure of working with four ensembles from Hesston College and Bethel College; the Concert Choir, the Hesston College Bel Canto Singers, Open Road and Woven.

We are about to sing a concert in Memorial Hall at Bethel, and I cannot quite believe that this marks the middle of the tour. Time flies when you are having fun!
