London, UK

This term is the longest one I've had during my four years in the group, coming in at four months of near-non-stop touring, having started in the first week of April in California, and ending in West Sussex on 1st August. It's really nice therefore to have so many days scattered between concerts at home this month when the summery weather in London is unprecedentedly good. It really is hard to beat summer in London, and I have recently moved to a flat in the city centre, so I consider myself very fortunate to be able to walk everywhere and avoid the swelteringly hot Undergound most of the time (which has recently seen highs of 40 degrees Celsius [104 Fahrenheit] - literally a sauna!).Being home today really couldn't be better timed with the World Cup semi-final featuring England vs Croatia on this evening. Kick-off is in just over an hour and I'm really excited, along with the rest of the country! I'll be in my local pub garden with friends and loved ones which is ideal. If all goes well, we'll be through to the final on Sunday, when (no matter the outcome) we'll be watching it from the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival in North Germany. #itscominghome (I hope!)
