London, UK

Hello all!Hope all is well wherever you are - especially our American friends. Stay safe - Mother Nature can be so terrifying and destructive at times....So a day at home today to carry on the memorising process of a few new GOLD tracks. It's amazing how much quicker you get at memorising pieces as the years go on. Before starting The KS, the only things I had to memorise were opera scenes at Music College and 45 minutes worth of music for my final recital for my Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Studies. In The KS, memorising is a skill which is essential to our existence. It adds another, theatrical dimension to our stage craft. It's a deliberate decision to perform most of our more serious, 'classical' repertoire behind music stands, then to get rid of the stands and loosen up for the close harmony section of the concert! I really enjoy the process of committing a piece of music to memory. It's good for the old grey cells and is always nice to have another piece locked away in the memory banks, knowing it's going to be in there for good, etched into your mind!Right, best get back to it. All the best for now and please check out concerts page if you'd like to pop along to a KS concert at some point. It would be lovely to see you! Toodle-oo for now....https://www.kingssingers.com/concerts/
