London, UK

Today has been a wonderful day so far. We've currently got a week off touring, after two wonderful weeks in Italy and Switzerland. I'm grateful for this time at home, as from Friday of next week, we're off to Poland and then on to Qatar, the Philippines and China (and I'm tacking on a weekend in Hong Kong at the end to see some friends - of course). Much of the week is being taken up with washing, ironing and running in the Sussex countryside, but today David and I had the wonderful opportunity to sit in on the Royal Holloway Chapel Choir's recording of Victorian partsongs in All Hallows Church, Gospel Oak. The choir was sounding amazing, and it's always magical to discover music you've never heard before. I was particularly delighted to hear new pieces by Pearsall and Leslie this afternoon, which I'm hoping we might be able to sneak into our own repertoire in the near future too (watch this space). Below is a picture of the choir with their director Rupert Gough, producer extraordinaire Adrian Peacock, and, of course, David and myself. There was so little we could suggest to improve the recordings, as it was sounding so great already, but it such a great privilege to be able to take in their music. Later this week, I once again have the privilege of seeing Pentatonix live in concert in London. If you can still get a ticket, do. They are extraordinary performers and their On My Way Home tour is exhilarating. Come and say hello if you see me there on Thursday. This time next week we'll be in Poland. This time a week later, we're going to be in Manila. It's an exciting month ahead!
