La Crosse, WI

You find me sitting in a lovely little cafe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where it’s extremely cold! We’re by a beautiful river/lake and have just got back from a wonderful morning and afternoon teaching a load of high school choirs, and performing And So It Goes with them at the end. We’ve come here fresh from Kansas City, where we sang at the beautiful Folly Theater - it was the group’s 10th performance there, and the audience were so positive and responsive. I also ended up with an hilariously big hotel room there for some reason, complete with two sofas, one of which covered in an elegant antimacassar! So it was a lovely little stop :) Last night was our first night off for a long while (8 concerts in 9 days, in 6 different states thus far!!) so we took the opportunity to have some fun and headed to the cinema to watch Murder on the Orient Express. Jules ended up in a popcorn coma, but aside from that it was great fun!Tomorrow we have our concert here in La Crosse, and the people here have given us such a warm reception so far that I’ve got a nice feeling about the concert. Then we head on to Utah, and to Provo, where the group has performed many times before and I can’t wait to sing for the first time. Happy times! Then it won’t be long before we’re in LA, hopping on the plane back home to our loved ones, who are being so very patient and understanding.
