Kowloon, Hong Kong

Happy Monday, folks! I write this from my hotel room in Hong Kong, where it's 28 degrees C and about 98% humidity - as a singer I don't often say this, but, God bless air con! It's a big change from London, but not so much of a big change from Barcelona, where some of us spent the weekend. It was a bizarre feature of the flight prices that it was most economical for some of us to start our journey to HK in Barcelona, so we made a little mini-break out of it, and spent a couple of days enjoying the sights, sounds, and tastes of that beautiful city! Ellie came out with me, and we walked about 22 miles around the city over the course of the weekend, but also ate our body weight in tapas so we've ended up basically even!Johnny, Jules and I are now out here in HK, acclimatising to the new time zone, and waiting for the other three who will be with us tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, we're going to do a bit of shopping (maybe pop into one of HK's famous tailors), eat some local cuisine as recommended by our lovely hosts from the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra, and practise our Chinese for when we sing a few local tunes later in the tour. Wish us luck!
