Glyndebourne, UK

Today I have the exciting experience of being in the audience for a performance, rather than on-stage! We're going down to Glyndebourne (a short hop from our home) with friends, to watch Cavalli's Hipermestra at the famous country opera festival. The weather looks set to be fine and I'm looking forward to a glass of champagne in the English Countryside. As I wrote last week, our first US Summer School was an enormous success, and it was quite emotional to hear the individuals and groups perform at our farewell concert on Sunday afternoon - followed by hilarious cabaret in the evening. The family of KS students grows ever larger, and it's a joy to see the Facebook page swell in numbers as we spread the word far and wide about our educational events. It's fascinating to think of the students going home to their own choirs and communities and (we hope!) enthusing them about the benefits of choral music and the fellowship of working within an ensemble. We're getting closer to our summer break and therefore our KS50 season. There's still lots to be done and even today a few of us are in the studio approving some mixes of the triple album. We were sent proof pages for our anniversary book this morning, and it's looking good. This is the culmination of 2 years' planning, and it's so exciting to see the results in black and white (and colour). If you're on our mailing list, you'll already have had the chance to purchase a special premium product at a discounted price - which includes the triple-disc set, the book, and some unique digital material including a bonus track.
