Beijing, China (..I think!)

Hi All - I barely realised it was my day to blog, as we're in a funny twilight zone at the moment, having just flown to Beijing, straight off the back of four days hot-footing around Europe! We packed in Paris (France), Romont (Switzerland) and Venlo (Netherlands), all the while being filmed by a lovely crew of 3, for a forthcoming documentary-style film, which will try to capture the essence of The King's Singers in the run-up to its 50th year. The crew managed to get some lovely shots as we rehearsed, taught masterclasses, performed concerts, and travelled around, as well as filming some music videos too to help launch GOLD. So we've really been on overdrive for a while, and now find ourselves on the other side of the world, just for a couple of days while we sing a special concert for the Beijing Music Festival!Tomorrow, we'll be getting up ready for a 10am press conference with some Chinese media (NB: it will feel like the UK equivalent of 3am, so let's hope our looks don't give too much away!), then on Wednesday we have our performance here, before heading back home on Thursday. I just got off the phone to Ellie, who is struggling to comprehend how we can still function with the schedule we've had. The answer? A wonderful mixture of coffee, adrenaline, and a deep love of singing for people.
