Today the six of us met again after 6 weeks of holiday time. It seems like a long time to have off, but having now finished my first year, I understand why! It has been an amazing chance to reset, with total vocal rest, chance to catch up with family and friends, and some time away in lovely places.It was great to see my colleagues again - it's startling how quickly one snaps back into how it always is, with the same bad jokes, strange habits and hilarious turns-of-phrase that we seem to use. It is also great to be back into making those distinctive King's Singers sounds again. I didn't do very much singing during the holiday (apart from a great lesson with my teacher, Berty) but it doesn't take long to gel back into the group sound. Today we've been rehearsing lots of the music that we having coming up this term, and it was particularly great for Julian and me to be able to sing some KS classics through for the first time!I hope you're well, and that you've just about managed to survive without your KS blogs for a few weeks..!
