Domestic bliss in Richmond, UK

You catch us on a non-singing day, as we prepare to head to Germany and Switzerland later in the week for a relatively long tour taking us up to the end of term. It's beautifully sunny here in Richmond where I live, and the sunny weather heralds a new chapter in the march towards middle-agedness. Yesterday I (with the help of a university friend) totally renovated mine and Ellie's garden, ready to grow some flowers, herbs and vegetables. I have this kind of fantasy about getting back from tour, walking out into the garden and pulling up vegetables to chop up and cook for dinner that night; hopefully it can now come true![caption id="attachment_5950" align="aligncenter" width="500"]

My first DIY carpentry![/caption]Today, while the sun beats down on my fledgling carrots, I'm in full work mode. I'm slowly but surely getting through learning the music for this Germany trip, where we have several different programmes over the course of 2.5 weeks, and some with instruments accompanying. It'll be my first major KS instrumental collaboration, and I'm looking forward to it, just so long as I can stay on top of all the new music! We also just had a group Skype meeting - the first time all 6 have met in this way, so I attach a rather hilarious screen shot below for you! Also, watch out on our Facebook page tomorrow, as we'll be uploading a rather nice live concert video of one of our favourite jazz tunes from a recent show. Like, comment and share if you so wish :)
